a variety of people asking them why
they don't write letters, send emails,
make phone calls and talk personally
with elected officials.
Using the data from that research, he
addresses the fears and obstacles  
people have.
Then he gives them skills to construct a
message and build a relationship.
He also helps them adopt a realistic
view of how politicians make decisions
and what volunteer advocates can
expect.
